What the firmness level means

Firmer is not automatically better. The firmness says how deep the brush reaches into the coat – and that depends on your dog's coat.

Medium Green Brush – short to medium-length hair, soft, fine coat
Firm Purple Brush – thick, coarse, woolly coat, undercoat

    The Silver Brush is Les Poochs' firm finishing brush – the brush for shedding season. With twice as many bristles as an everyday brush, it removes an astonishing amount of loose undercoat in just a few strokes and leaves a smooth, shiny coat.

    A good fit if your dog …

    • has a double coat or dense undercoat
    • is shedding and leaving hair everywhere
    • is a Husky, Malamute, Samoyed, German Shepherd, or Australian Shepherd
    • should have a smooth finish after bathing

    Better a different one if …

    • your dog has fine, thin fur – then use the Gold Brush
    • you mainly want to detangle daily – the Purple or Green Brush is intended for this

    Frequently asked questions

    Silver or Purple – which do I need?

    The Purple Brush is for every day, the Silver Brush for shedding season. If your dog sheds a lot, the Silver is the right choice. With a dense coat, both together make sense.

    Does it damage the topcoat?

    No, as long as you work without pressure. The bristle tips are rounded and do not break the hair. Do not stay in one spot and do not chop into the coat.

    How often during shedding season?

    Five to ten minutes daily at the peak, then two to three times a week.

    Does it replace an undercoat rake?

    For most dogs, yes. A rake cuts hair off; this brush pulls loose hair out – which is gentler on the topcoat.

    Genial!

    Ich bin wirklich begeistert von dieser Hundebürste. Sie entfernt die Unterwolle sehr effektiv, ohne dass mein Hund dabei unangenehm reagiert. Schon nach kurzer Zeit sieht man, wie viel loses Fell herauskommt.

    Die Bürste liegt gut in der Hand, ist einfach zu benutzen und wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet. Besonders positiv finde ich, dass sie sanft zur Haut ist und trotzdem gründlich arbeitet.

    Für meinen Hund mit viel Unterwolle ist diese Bürste meiner Meinung nach wirklich großartig und eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

    Langlebige Büste, die ein Hundeleben hält

    Ich habe diese Bürste schon bei meinem Schwarzen Terrier benutzt und nun ist mein Wolfsspitze auch schon 7 Jahre. Die Bürste ist wirklich zu empfehlen, das Fell ist immer in guter Kondition und der Hund sieht immer gepflegt aus, natürlich bei regelmäßigem Bürsten.
