  • The brand belongs to the Lithuanian KIKA group, like Tauro Pro Line and Nature's Protection.
  • Washable nappies have three layers and, according to the manufacturer, last up to 300 washes.
  • Never wash with fabric softener, it takes the absorbency away from the microfibre.
  • cotonluv is an authorised dealer for Misoko.

If you want to buy Misoko, you are usually looking for a dog nappy that stays put, does not chafe and survives many washes. Behind the brand is not a hygiene company but a breeder family from Lithuania. Here you can find out what Misoko stands for, how the nappies are built and which product suits your dog.

A brand from the KIKA family

Misoko belongs to the KIKA group from Kaunas in Lithuania. It was founded by Janita J. Plungė, who has herself been breeding dogs for decades. The group also includes the brushes from Tauro Pro Line and the food from Nature's Protection. Misoko is the brand for everything that happens in a household with a dog: nappies, pads, cleaning, toys.

What Misoko stands for

The products were created in a family kennel and tested there first, with its own dogs and in its own home. You notice this in details that only stand out if you yourself have female dogs in season, old male dogs and puppies at home: an opening for the tail, hook-and-loop fasteners that do not get caught in the coat, and sizes from XS for very small dogs.

What makes the nappies special technically

Washable nappies for female and male dogs

The washable nappies consist of three layers:

  1. Inside soft polyester that draws moisture inwards quickly and stays dry against the skin.
  2. Absorbent core made of microfibre and viscose, which absorbs and holds urine or blood without an additional insert.
  3. Outside a waterproof layer of PUL, i.e. polyurethane-coated fabric.

The nappies for female dogs have a tail opening and can be adjusted continuously with hook-and-loop fastening. For male dogs there are belly bands that cover only the genital area. According to the manufacturer, they last up to 300 washes.

This is how they stay absorbent:

  • Close the hook-and-loop fasteners before washing.
  • No fabric softener and no bleach. Both clog the microfibre.
  • If possible, wash with an extra rinse cycle.
  • Tumble dry on a low setting or air dry, do not iron.

Disposable nappies for male dogs

For when you are out and about, for travel or for hotels, there are disposable belly bands in packs of 12. They have a cotton core, fibres with bamboo activated charcoal against odour and a wetness indicator that shows when to change. You can choose between lemon and lavender scent. Important: the disposable nappies run rather small. With a dense coat, if in doubt take the next size up.

Washable PeePad

The pad has four layers: a soft top, an absorbent layer, a waterproof PU layer and a non-slip underside. It can be washed at up to 90 °C and, according to the manufacturer, is designed for over 300 washes. It is intended for puppies during house training, for seniors and as protection under a bowl or bed.

Cleaning and accessories

The enzymatic stain and odour spray breaks down organic residues such as urine, vomit or saliva instead of just masking them with scent. This matters because dogs like to mark again places where they can still smell urine. Spray it on, leave it to work for 5 to 10 minutes and then blot it off. You should not use it on leather and water-repellent fabrics; on textiles, test it first on an inconspicuous spot.

There are also toys made of latex, rubber and plush in many sizes, as well as a stainless steel drinking bottle for when you are out and about.

Who Misoko suits

  • Female dogs in season, if the carpet and sofa are to stay clean.
  • Male dogs that mark in other people's homes, for example when visiting or in a hotel.
  • Older dogs with incontinence. Have the cause checked by the vet; the nappy is for everyday life afterwards.
  • Puppies during the house-training phase.
  • Breeders and multi-dog households who want washable solutions rather than mountains of disposable items.

To find the right size, measure the belly or waist circumference directly in front of the hind legs. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one.

What we recommend

Why we stock Misoko

Misoko comes from the same breeder family as Tauro Pro Line, and you can tell from the products that they come from someone who keeps small white dogs themselves. The nappies stay in place on Coton de Tuléar, Maltese and Bichon Frise without slipping, and they survive everyday washing. cotonluv is an authorised dealer for Misoko. If you are unsure which size fits, send us a photo of your dog and the measured circumference via WhatsApp.
