Three places you'll see it first
Discoloration around the eyes, on the beard, and paws occurs in every dog – it's just more noticeable on white fur. That's why owners of lighter breeds pay closer attention to what goes into the food bowl.
Around the eyes
Tear fluid contains porphyrins—iron-containing pigments that appear reddish-brown on light-colored fur. On dark fur, the same simply isn't noticeable.
By beard and snout
Saliva contains the same pigments. Where the fur remains permanently damp, this is more noticeable in light-colored breeds than in all others.
On paws and legs
Frequent licking keeps the coat moist. Some dogs lick noticeably more if they have a sensitive digestion or food intolerance.

Whitefish, salmon, herring, lamb or insect – each variety relies on a clearly declared main protein source. This makes it easier to narrow down an intolerance.

Grain and gluten-free, without artificial colors or preservatives. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, and peas serve as carbohydrate sources.

What distinguishes this food from regular dog food?

How do I get a free sample?
Simply add the 40g sample of your desired variety to your shopping cart – it's free, only the usual shipping costs apply. A maximum of two pieces per variety per customer is allowed, so everyone can benefit.
How long should I feed before judging?
The sample will show you in two or three meals whether your dog likes and tolerates the food. It takes longer for the coat: Discolored hair doesn't disappear, it grows out – so an assessment is only worthwhile after eight to twelve weeks.
Which variety should I choose if I have intolerances?
Start with a protein source your dog hasn't had before. White fish and insects are often the first choice for this, as they are rarely found in standard kibble. If you are unsure, send us a quick message – we will go through the ingredient list with you.
Which pack size is suitable for my dog?
For testing and transitioning: 1.5 kg. For a small dog in continuous use, 10 kg usually lasts two to three months. 17 kg is worthwhile for medium-sized dogs or multiple dogs – once opened, a bag should be used within approximately six weeks.
How do I make the right change?
Gradually mix over seven days: Day 1–2 one-quarter new food, Day 3–4 half, Day 5–6 three-quarters, fully new from Day 7. For very sensitive dogs, extend this period to ten to fourteen days.
Is the food also suitable for dogs with dark fur?
Yes. It is a complete feed – coat color does not restrict anything. For dark and red coats, we also have our own lines, if you are specifically looking for those.
What is MicroZeoGen®?
A dynamically micronized clinoptilolite – a naturally occurring mineral from volcanic rock. It is included in the Superior Care formula at about one percent and is listed in the composition on each product page.
What else can I do besides feeding?
Keep the hair around the eyes short, dab damp areas dry daily, and use ceramic or stainless steel bowls instead of plastic. If one eye waters unilaterally, turns red, or the dog squints, this needs veterinary attention – it's not a question of feeding.
