Essential fatty acids:
All body tissues and organs are made up of very specific cells. The skin as the largest organ of the body is also made up of countless individual cells, as is every hair itself. Essential, unsaturated fatty acids are part of every cell envelope. The lack of these fatty acids, the tissue is not intact and skin problems such as dandruff, eczema, brittle hair or too loose coat, which is easy and constantly failing, are the result.

One differentiates essential (necessary) from non-essential (can be produced by the body itself) as well as unsaturated (for the organism more valuable) from saturated fatty acids. Because some fatty acids are essential, they must be supplied to the body through food. Simple addition of a pure oil such as sunflower, olive, salmon or evening primrose oil does not make sense, because here is only one of the fatty acid types and the required ratio of 5  –  10 omega-6: 1 omega-3 fatty acids will not be considered.
